back in Amman

I'm back in Amman, but is it for good? Only fate knows - because I don't know if I will be spending yet another year in London studying or I'm done with it..

Leaving Chepstow (the halls/dorms I lived in last year) was quite emotional - It was more like a wrap up for me to be leaving the country. All the good things almost happened to me there, I got to know a lot about Omar and other people surrounding me - and never to forget the hours spent with friends in my room (or Brunel in general) and all the memories connected to each corner...

I will definitely miss Brunel, and I came to realise that my best days are my Brunel days. I am back in Amman - a lot of change happening in my life and I'm trying to adapt to it. I want to thank my friends for the smiles, laughs, wall-bangs, neighbours, munchies, dances & good times I had.

parents, do your children a favour...

... and teach them a valuable lesson that will get them to deal with everything easier:

Since I was contemplating on making up a children's book a while ago, I am starting to consider what will I be telling the children that will help them get a better understanding of that short life. I seriously still can't find a point of people claiming that they don't want the childhood of their children being "stolen away" while they allow them to play video games where you get charged up by 'fornicating' with a prostitute! (hat-tip: Kenan)

What lies under the concept of Life Is Fucked Up? Almost everything they need to know. And here is what it's about:

  1. Never expect too much, not from people nor yourself
  2. The thicker skin you got, the more chances you get to survive in this fuckin' life
  3. Keep blaming yourself for being a bad person, no point of pointing the fingers at this and that and that - it's all you; parents never bring you up, it's your own fuckin' journey
  4. Friends are like bread, the more pour into them, the more soggy and useless they become
  5. Nobody gives a fuck about you, except your mother maybe. Not even your "best" friend
  6. If you have a bad habit, and it helps you relax whatsoever, don't consider it a "bad" one - just keep doing it and wave the bird to everyone in their faces.
  7. Sleep for two full days every week
  8. You'll meet more shit-heads than good people
  9. If you got a problem, go complain to a complete stranger - drunk and passed out would be better
  10. The more deep you try to dig, the more fucked up shit you'll find - so stay shallow.
  11. Don't Trust Any Fuckin' Body on this Earth
  12. Use the word FUCK, because it's possibly the most expressive word in the history of languages and particularly English.
  13. Your friends are fucked up, your teachers are fucked up, your classmates are fucked up, your colleagues are fucked up and even your doctors. Almost everybody you meet is fucked up, we just show each others beautiful sugar coatings. So don't think you're the only one leading a fucked up life.
  14. DO YOUR FUCKIN' ASSIGNMENTS BEFORE THE FUCKIN' DEADLINE BY AT LEAST 2 MONTHS.
Yeah so shoot me, all this list leads up to the fact that you should do your assignments early. Do you realise the amount of stress students get under from assignments. And then Psychology people wonder why most of the nation is fucked up.

Don't give a fuck about this post, if you relate to it by any sense - you're in a fucked up position just like most people out there. So here's a new thing you learn about yourself.

I think I'm leaving blogging quite soon...

I will come occasionally every once in a while but I seriously need to cut down some blog-time in order to finish the dissertation (due 7th of April) and be free after the exams (Mid may). So yeah, thanks for understanding and I'm sorry in advance :)

de-pressed

it's a term I use a lot, but I guess I mean "sadness", but when you get it mixed with anxiety, pressure, worrying and cold weather it becomes depression.

I left Amman today, and I'm back in UK :(

Evaluate Me!

I would really like to know what you guys (visitors of my blog and fellow bloggers) how do you evaluate me as a Graphic Designer. I've included a note that please try to leave personal matters aside, not that I know of any quarrels between me or any specific people but if you tend to carry a blogogrudge on me. Leave all this aside, and judge fairly :)

If you're unsure, visit my portfolio at http://www.omernos.com and make sure to visit all sections in order to get a good idea of my work.

Here's the poll, would be very thankful if you answer it:

Thanks for reading, as well as participating in the poll!:D

The Cut

I guess I've mentioned it before in one of my lists, aside from me bugging the hell out of my friends talking about it. But Future TV's Arabised version of THE CUT reality show is soon to be filmed and broadcast.

Well, I applied earlier this year and apparently I made it through to the top 40 and I'll be flying to them for Casting and Personal Interviews.

Just pray for me, and wish me luck...

P.S: Amman is greateness, I'm already having a blast this summer :)

فقدتُ لونَ سُمرتي

It's really sad, how you get drained of your colour when you stay for a while in this gloomy town. What's sadder how most might view it as a superficial issue, and just following a trend. But this colour is what identifies you.

Fear

because of these questions:

  1. How am I going to face Qiyamah?
  2. What if I fail in my modules?
do you see a secular/spiritual contradiction here or not?
